A Camera is to the eyes as the lens is to perception

In life, there are a ceaseless amount of ways to ruminate about all concepts, -whether they are divine & metaphysical- or within our three-dimensional world of living & rationalizing.

We choose what we want to photograph, we just to give certain situations in life color as we unholster our weapon & shoot the picture, gazing in all that it is, & attempting to make sense of it every single day.

A camera is to the eyes, but what we shoot & photograph are the memories we are left with at the end of the day.

Now, I am allowed to shoot whatever I want( double-entendre because I live in the U. S of A). So, I will not listen to what they want me to shoot, I will make memories of what I believe is divine & important.

I am the captain of my own camera as well, as I am the general to choosing what lens I want.

The lens I lace is equivalent to my style as a person, as I lace my shooting with different add-ons such as a muzzle or a long-scope, it changes the meaning & efficiency of the shot, or in this case, the value of the memory.

Touching upon the psychology & physiognomy of attraction; different lenses in photography distort what a person quite honestly looks like. Using more acute lenses like a fifteen mm fabricates an uglier face-although that is due to the lens, or the perception used to shoot the picture, or the memory.

What this quantifies as you ask?

That, the way we look at people & when, or even, if we want to shoot a picture is contingent on only the one that possesses the camera.

The one who possesses the camera does not have to acclimate to using fifteen mm lenses if he chooses that is what he wants to do.

He does not have to listen to his “quirky friends” that take pictures that are considered great, life-changing, & quirky.

He could shoot a picture of a printer, & that would have more value to him than a “dramatic picture of the ocean with the horizon adumbrating the background”.

We choose when we want to shoot the picture like we went out west, insofar that we choose the memories we want to make.

We do not have to shoot the pictures we do not want to capture.

We do not have to use the lenses & filters that have been pushed down our throats & advertised to be in every aisle.
